The racial wealth gap persists and we believe one way to address it is through dispelling the myth that there is a limited Black talent pool for leadership positions in corporate spaces. The truth is, the opportunities and access is limited. The Black talent is not. We plan to take this period of 100 days to prove there are many Black leaders who have the experience and expertise to lead. The 100 days selected is July 28th through November 4th. July 28th is the anniversary of when the 14th Amendment was adopted and gave Black folks citizenship in the US. And November 4th is the anniversary of when the first Black man was elected president of the U.S.

By interviewing these 100 Black leaders we hope to elevate their profiles so they are not only celebrated but also properly compensated in the industry for their contributions. It is our hope that these leaders will be sought after by organizations and corporate boards for their skills, talents, abilities, and their perspective as a Black person. We are confident that organizations who seek out the point of view of Black folks prevent costly mistakes and increase their bottom line. The qualitative data from the interviews will inform pathways for future leaders and racial equity programing.
